About me
Hello, my name is April and I am the founder of “Real Trucker Solutions.” I am a 52 year old woman from North Georgia who recently became a widow. My husband had a stroke at 48 years old in October of 2022. I had been over the road with him for 10 plus years but I didn’t drive. He did all the driving and I did all the leg work and paperwork. Unfortunately, he passed away just before I could get my license. Our plan was to team drive and save as much money as we could and retire in 10 years. I enjoy trucking and I’ve been almost everywhere across the United States. My father and my grandfather were truck drivers. My brother is a truck driver, my son-in-law is a truck driver, and I’m a truck driver. I think it’s in my blood.
What I do
I started out going to school graduating and then found a company that would take graduates right out of school with no experience. I ended up going to Nashville Tennessee to Western Express and I did that for a little while but at the same time I was grieving the loss of my husband. I decided to come back home and drive a dump truck locally hauling rock, asphalt and dirt. I enjoy my job and probably will never go back over the road again, at least not by myself.
My Mission
The goal for this website is to be a source of information that you can rely on coming from another truck driver that only has good intentions for my fellow workers in this field. I hope that you will find this a necessary tool in your driving experience. Bear in mind that the website is under construction and I’m doing it all myself and I’ve never done a website but it just touched my heart to do this and I’ve been doing research and trying to come up with the best of the best so please be patient and if you see anything that’s not what it should be right now or does not pertain to trucking it’s because I haven’t got that far in building the website but I wanted to publish this page and get it out there so that y’all would know what’s coming! Press on drivers, stay safe out there.
Inspiration for Real Trucker Solutions
I drive a dump truck locally now in North Georgia near my hometown since my husband passed. I’ve done this for the last two years. Being over the road for 10 plus years brought to my attention many obstacles that truckers face which brought about this web site of information for truck drivers by truck drivers. Just being out there let me see first hand the needs of truck drivers, and things that could go wrong and do go wrong and I’d like to offer solutions.
